Just yesterday, we told you about BitTorrent and piracy making a comeback due to increasing Netflix competitors that are creating great exclusive content. There are many free services available for movies and TV shows, but people keep looking for more content.
To give you access to more free content to watch, Plex has launched a new service named Plex Web Shows. Launched in Beta, this service contains “high-quality episodic video content” from a range of publishers like Conde Nast, The New Yorker, NerdWire, Fandor, FailArmy, etc.
The interface of the Plex Web Shows service is pretty clean and shows are well organized. You can sort them by title, publication, watched/unwatched status. As per your convenience, you can arrange the listing in Grid, list, or summary views.
The great thing about the service is that you don’t have to download the Plex app on your computer or smartphone; the Plex website does a great job of playing the web shows for you.
At the moment, there are 67 publications listed on the service and Plex plans to expand the offering in the near future.
